Good luck! I just had mine recharged, and honestly, in 100 degree weather, it was just bearable. That's traveling at freeway speeds for the majority of the time too.
Does your condenser go all the way across the decklid, or does it only cover about 3/4? Mine is the latter. I was told that it is an Italian compressor, but I don't know if that's good or bad. I also found a nice leak in one of the hoses, so that'll be replaced this fall (when I don't need the A/C).

Mine goes all the way across.
I intend to tackle this question in a separate thread in the near future. I have read all of the threads on A/C, but I haven't come across one that gives a general consensus on the definitive way to cool a porsche. Surely, since so many people have worked on this problem, there must be a "best" way to do it. |

Welcome neighbor!
Welcome to the madness friend!
I am in Jackson, and organize the MTFR's (Mid TN Fun Run's) someone previously mentioned. Shoot me an email and I will add you to the dist list for those if you like. Our next run will be Saturday, 9/15. We mostly stay in the nashville to memphis areas for our runs, but we have some great roads that are not travelled like out east. Great fun, but honestly, it is fun just getting together and shooting the bull. Nice looking car. Look forward to meeting you. You can also join the MSR PCA and go to the events that are organized by them. And, do not miss out on the Porsche Palooza which is held in the Branson area I think in November. This will be my first year but have heard it is great. You have a couple of great neightbors their in Memphis that are on this board regularly (jtfreels and JeffreyNMemphis). Welcome!
