89 Cabriolet Power Window Problem

Hello folks, long time lurker, first time poster.

I own a 1989 cabriolet. The driver's side window will not go down. This happened right after a rain storm so I'm wondering if something go wet. I suspected bad ground but I jumpered the ground terminal from the switch and that didn't help.

I also tested the switch by swapping it with the switch on the passenger door (same part number). The known good switch from the passenger door doesn't work on the driver's door and vice versa, so I know the switch is not the problem.

Before I pull the door panel and order a window motor, is there anything else I should check? Is there a relay anywhere? I have the Bentleys manual and the electrical diagram for the window is very confusing (to me).

Once I have the door panel off, should I try to energize the motor to see if it's good?

Thanks,

Henry
