Turbo "chirp" when shifting
![]() What is the "chirp" "chirp" noise I hear when some turbo cars shift gears? Why don't I hear this with the 930 when they are shifted, is it because the pop valve is not vented to atmosphere? Thanks. Len ![]() OOPS, wrong forum. Sorry guys, this should be in the Turbo forum. Mr Moderator, can you move this please? Len

You'd be surpised, I suspect you'll get an answer from here just as fast. There are lots of turbo folks around.

You're hearing the BOV (blow-off valve). The BOV on our Infiniti's supercharger is a dead give-away.

930's re-circulate the air back into the intake. Thus it does not go into the automsphere and make the noise.
