Adding center console......
.....and finding that the console does not allow the e-brake handle to sit far enough down to rest. Although the e-brake light is not coming on, I am one click or so up. I am assuming that unless the handle is completely down I am putting torque on the e-brakes at the rear. What am I missing for this to sit correctly?
Do the 3 set screws go in to the metal above or below the carpet? It seems it would be pretty easy to make a few "X's" in the carpet, sink the screws, and glue the carpet back down. This is on a '76. All help appreciated. Last edited by Curve Eater; 09-05-2007 at 03:46 PM.. |

I would say don't worry about the light, it is an adjustment. On my 84 the light comes on at the first click telling me it is an adjustment, can't tell a thing other than the light is on, no resistance or anything..
