Maybe you saw the "Ragamuffin", maybe not. But, think flattened, multi contoured cookies. ![]() I don't miss the Ragamuffin, but I am working toward the same vain in many ways. ![]() Edit: Or is that "vein"? I actually don't know. I'm not vain, I hope. BTW, the rear of the car shown here is are all metal. And, there is another camera lens error that makes the bumpers look droopy. Same camera. yeh, I hear you -- but, liability of making bumper _covers_ can't be much.
Yup - bounced off the headlight I think it already looks a bit "R-like" as is. Very Cool. |

Very nice design.
If you do proceed with making a valance to work on an impact bumper car, I'd be interested in that.

Nice work, Milt! Two fiberglass covered thumbs up. I'm looking forward to watching the progress.
Here's an offhand thought. Maybe when you get to a final product you could offer to loan it to Dave at TRE or some other fiberglass vendor to make a mold, perhaps in exchange for some parts, parts discounts, or commission on units sold. I would have been interested in the rear version before I did the actual backdate on my own car. The front could still work on my car. I just need to acquire the time and the talent. Eventually I might get the time...... ![]()

Two steps forward and one back.
Yes, this can be frustrating. I had to cut off the lip on both sides because things weren't working out as they did in the initial mock up. So, I re-glassed them this afternoon.
![]() I was pretty stoked after seeing all the wonderful cars at the Palos Verdes show courtesy of HughR. I came home and got into work clothes immediately. Here's part of the process, checking R to L for consistency in form. ![]() And, while fooling around, I decided after a LOT of thinking, to cut in horn grille openings. I have a design in mind for some retro looking grilles, yet reshaped. I will make them out of aluminum and TIG weld them and then polish. ![]() All I have to do now is buy a TIG welder. At this point, I think I need a sponsor. ![]() |
