Correct color for 86 Calipers

Yes, on the list for winter fun stuff is refinishing my calipers. They currently are a non stock color. First question, what was the original color for the 86 and second, any suggestions as to a paint product in that color? Thanks

84-86 3.2, I do not not believe they were painted at all, any paint on them would be a PO thing.

Jim is 'spot on'; they were not painted...Depending on the colour of your car, and the colour of your wheels, you may consider a 'caliper paint' in Black _ Yellow _ Red.

For your interest, if you do decide to paint them, I have seen Porsche decal's - with the name Porsche - on ebay for calipers.

Cheers

PO had painted the calipers on the 88 red. When I rebuilt them I painted them with silver caliper paint. Look way better than red. Just for perspective, the PO also had 17" cup II's 7/9. Car now has proper Fuch's.
