WOW,
I think you should restate you comments and say, "now the fun begins." Enjoy the process, I hope to someday follow in your footsteps. Rich

Clint,
Thanks. It had a great start with the high quality, 98% rust free body I got from you. Blasted down to bare metal and no rust. Extremely solid. Surface rust in the front trunk pan and rear deck only. Yes, I am having fun. Rebuilding the front calipers today. They look perfect, but the pistons were frozen due to lack of use. once apart, they appear to have low use,no abuse. yea.... regards, al

Awesome!!! If it were me, I would call in sick, stay up for two nights straight to put it back together. I *love* putting a 911 back together after a fresh paint job...it's like going back in time and pretending you are Franz working in the Porsche factory!

You can if it's only the bumpers, trim and glass. Seeing as how there is no gas tank or wiring in that car, it'll take 3.
![]() BTW, outstanding! I'd love to start from that point one more time, but I don't think I'll ever have enough energy to do so. Hats off to you. |

Thanks guys: Started rebuilding the calipers today. The fronts are in awesome shape. Then I'll do the suspension, then the engine, then the tranny, then the wiring, then the interior, then the wheels, then..........I've been gathering parts. It's going to be a nice winter.

![]() Personally, throwing that car together in two days would be the LAST thing I'd want to do. Putting it together with restored, cleaned, painted subassemblies, item by item would be like making love to it to me! Kinky? Yes, but my kind of kink!

Looks wonderful, Al. Christmas came early, huh?
Look forward to seeing it on the road next Spring, or sooner since you live in the no snow zone. ![]()

Yep! Done that plus the interior (except headliner *shudder*)and fuel tank in 36 hours straight. Didn't notice the wiring loom missing...now that takes a lot of time I imagine. Never done it. Some people like to take their time...I'm the impatient type. ![]() |

Scott,
Jeff Peterson, at Peterson's Customs, in Mount Vernon. He comes highly recommended and he's in my backyard. He can really paint. great job. Medai blasting was done by George Miller at Alternative Blasters, in Marysville. They are very good also. al
