You should have no trouble finding both right here from our host.

I have used the MOMO Anotomico shift knobs, and like them a lot. YMMV, of course.

In terms of car covers, it depends on the use, indoor, outdoor, etc. Be sure to get one suited for your needs. I use mine indoors, and prefer the cotton flannel type. Easy on the finish while in storage, but pretty useless outdoors.

I ordered a custom fit cover from pelican for my turbo body car and it fits like a glove, mirror pockets and all. It was made by either cover craft or coverking cant remember which. Even custom ordered it took only two weeks.

What kind of sterring wheel do you have? At the risk of sounding girly, I picked a shift knob that would best match with my momo fighter wheel. I went with the momo sphere knob that you can buy here at our host. All about taste, and mine is questionable at best Good luck.

I guess I should have been more specific about the shift knob. I am looking for a basic black leather one that looks or is factory. Does anyone still make these with or without shift pattern or Porshce emblem?

TIA,

Scott

Car Cover

The Porsche's are inside but for other cars I've had outside, Noah has been good for wet and dusty weather conditions (no snow around here). You want something that will breathe and allow moisture to escape.

No snow here either..I'll check in to these. I've a breathable cover now,..but was wondering what the higher end products would be.....time to hit the web.....do my homework........I don't really care so much what it cost (vs. capabilities).......just want to protect her best way possible for present "conditions"....

Best,

So, it looks like there are no factory knobs out there in leather. If I get a universal one, what site of thread or mounting diameter do I need? Would I need the mounting clamp?

TIA,

Scott

Sorry, I can't answer any questions here, but in line with the knob...how is it removed?
I want to change mine, but I'm not sure on how to remove it.
Do I just pull up on it?
Screw it off?
I don't see any external set screw and there's no emblem on the top to remove and reveal any nut/clip.

Sorry for the noob question, but I don't want to assume it's like my other german car.

Thank you!

I just changed out my boot and knob. On my 81 I should have been able to place a 15mm under the knob and "tap" it off. I was hitting it so hard I was afraid I was going to break something, so I cut the knob off and found two crush sleeves. Not quite sure but I think there is a set screw under the top of the knob on yours. If not its like mine. I went the cheep way and got a all leather knob from Auto Zone. I really am shocked at how good it looks.

Car Cover "Storm Proof" (Cover King)

The first thing I bought for my car from Pelican. The material is light weight yet very heavy duty and fits nicely. I had to keep my car outside for a year and during the worst rain storms, it kept my car dry. I do wish it had more of a snug fit, but otherwize I'd highly recommend it.

Hmmm...sounds like mine may be the same way as yours. The top of the knob is solid and the shift pattern is engraved into the knob, so no way of getting in from the top of the knob.
I'll try the 15mm wrench and see what happens.

Thank you for the info!

Ernie - How did you mount the Autozone knob onto the shaft?
Is it a slip on (tightly) or is there a set screw/collar?

So, I think I found the shift knob I want at:

http://www.mmmiata.com/catalogsite/shiftknobs.php

It is the MM018-BKV5 one. This should fit, right? There are Nardi and Momo knobs listed also and I know those fit Porshces so the mounting diameter should be the same, correct?

TIA,

Scott
