Pertronix Ignitor

Hi.

Some days ago i was planning on mounting the Pertronix Ignitor Electronic Ignition on my 1972 911E 2.4 EFI. I bought PEL-PT1863 as i thought it would fit my car.

When i was reading the instructions it stood that this kit only could be used on coils with more than 1,5 ohms. I measured my coil to 0,7 ohms.

Could i still use this kit on my engine, or do i need to modify something?

Iam also wondering if my engine has a ballast resistor?

I can only see that the - wire goes to the engine and the + wire goes to the ignition unit..

I installed the same model on my 2.4 engine with S dizzy, and black coil and it runs fine.

Give it a try, I think you will be ok.

Good luck
