MPG with a 3.2 Carrera?

I have a 79 SC that I am considering switching to the later EFI 3.2. Assuming stock everything except SSI's, what kind of mileage could I reasonably expect?

Thanks,

I see 18 city, 20 mixed, and as high as 28 straight highway at speeds above 80mph.
This is with a Steve Wong Chip, and cat-bypass though... Before the chip, I might see
22 highway...

yes, those figures are about right. i drove an entire tank without getting off the highway or really changing my speed significantly, from somewhere in oregon back to the SF bay area and i did the math and it came out to between 27 and 28mpg. 2600lbs (per WA DOT scale) of G50 carrera 3.2 with 175lbs of driver+ luggage, with ducktail, at 70-80mph, engine stock except for SSI exchangers (so no cat) and dansk sport muffler.

21 to 22 MPG, commuting & kid-pick-up duty (55% freeway @ 80, 25% country 2 lanes @ 60, rest stop-n-go).
Slightly worse than a Park Avenue Ultra, 1300# heavier, "slightly" bigger interior, with very similar straight line performance used for the same purpose during inclement weather.

I got 24.5 mpg on a 230 mile highway trip in my '89; mostly at 75 mph with a few revs to red-line on entrance ramps.

I've only checked mine one time (curiosity go the best of me), and over a full tank of interstate driving (75-90 mph) with an occasional "heavy foot", I calculated 27+ mph. SW chip...I'm pretty sure 30 mpg could be attainable if that was the goal...it isn't

High altitude here, dont know if that makes a difference, but I average 20 around town and as high as 30 on the highway if laws are obeyed.

YES! That was the surprise bonus on top of increased low end torque, high end hp, and a smoother idle!

Current average 19.4 mpg here. Mix of spirited back road driving, relaxed 90 mph highway cruising plus a few highspeed runs. 930/20 with aftermarket cat. Surprisingly efficient for a 20 year old sports car.

I used to get 17-19 around town and 21-23 on the highway, but I'm an aggressive driver. THere are folks here that have gotten 25-30+mpg on the highway. I just don't have the will power to keep my foot out of it.
