I got the Bentley, 101 Projects, Haynes, and ALL of YOU!
I think I'm in good hands!

I have dropped a 3.0 motor only, but I think I'll take the advice here and do motor & transaxle as 1 unit this time. I want to clean up under the car also, so I think this would be a good time to do it as well with the transaxle out too.

You Guys have been AWESOME!!

MAHALO!!

Corona= ok for a brake job or new air filter, m a y b e ok for an oil change.

Bitburger= Much better choice for an engine drop or valve adjustment (available on tap at the Hale Koa or Boat House don't know where to get the bottles out there !!)

[that ought to stir the pot!]

Don't forget the obligatory photo of you standing up THROUGH the engine compartment, drinking a beer, once you get it out.

-I'm doing an engine drop (and a bunch of other stuff) right now too !!!

CHEERS !

L A area, way more coronas than bitburguers

No drinking and wrenching

Only one task at the time.

I totally agree with you here! It could be just a deadly as drinking and driving, depending on the task at hand.

(with respect to: drinking and wrenching)

ok, if you're going to state the obvious safety tips: don't lower the car down on your children when you're done with the project.

(with respect to: photo of me in the engine bay with a beer.)

If I can dig the last one up I'll post it again. I'm going to wait until I've replaced the oil return tubes, heat exchangers and stuff before lowering the motor this time, but I'll get another shot then, ok.

Who are you kidding? When it is 85F, the sun is on you for 2 hours, you just wrenched on that last bolt and the engine is out sitting on a dolly ... it is Miller's time and you will drain half a bottle in one gulp.

I'm just jealous...... I don't get to have a beer during my wrenching hours, and sometimes I think I deserve one, we get to work on some pretty fun projects.
