lowering question
Hello! I have a 1972 that I will be lowering soon. Currently I have Simmons 17 wheels with spacers and they stick about 1/4 inch past the lip of the fender. I can do two things. Have the spacers machined to fit inside the lip or lower the car just above tires. If I lower without bringing the tire in, how close can I get to the fender without rubbing issues? I appreciate your feedback! Happy Thanksgiving!

When the paint on your fender starts to blister, then you're too close. Or you could play it safe and end the fun.
