the clone game

So just about every version of a 911 has seen it's run of "clones"- from the RS to the RSR and going back to previous times the slantnose and the turbo.

Someone even cloned the Paris / Dakar 911.

So what hasn't been cloned?

The latest crazes are RSR and ST clones, but maybe the ultimate clone would be a clone of the RSR 2.1 turbo pictured below:

( do I have the model description correct? 2.1, 2.7 or 2.8 liter? )

In my book, it's the "ultimate" 911. You don't get any wilder looking!

I guess the problem would be re-creating that insane rear wing.

The other clone I have yet to see is a clone of the 695 T7- the precursor to the 901 / 911.

Not exactly a looker, but it would be unique.

Thoughts?

I guess the third "uncloned" Porsche would be the RSR 2.1 turbo with that funky "mary stuart" rear spoiler-

the again- I never noticed how funky-looking that tail is from behind until I found this pic:

-and why is it called "mary stuart", anyway?

Any others you can think of that we have yet to see cloned?

In theory the spoiler looks like the collar worn by Mary Stuart Queen of Scots....... so the story goes.
A very cool looking car.

For me, with an unlimited budget, I'd try the "Baby" 935/2

There are no really authentic 934 clones out there - to do one right would probably run well into the six figures. Paul's Kramer's car is the closest with the center-locks, but even that one is more of a 934 tribute than a clone...
