Ridiculous next level ****. If I lived nearby, I'd sweep the floors just to breath the air.

ha! thanks. :)

jpnovak 10-17-2016 06:06 PM

There's a waiting list for that position — I'm on it, waiting on the phone call.

I'm bringing my Dansk for that outlet treatment :) Very sweet!

The shoulder bolt idea for the seat mounting is clever indeed. Can't wait to see how the rest of it comes together.

Excellent Work

I wish I knew about you before I started my two major projects...Subscribed

This build will be 9 Years old in two weeks.

rolfjahn 11-15-2016 09:25 AM

Yes this I know and I started his thread from the beginning.
The ideas, fabrication and pictures are current and inspiring to me.
My two projects are in for three years.
There is always someone with an alternative idea or innovative method to our madness.

I have successfully figured out LED lighting for headlights,
including the oil cooler lean angle, oil lines and bracket design.
Proper LED gauge lighting and redesign.
Interior designs and leather work with audio to the next level.
I will be posting my discoveries soon.

So I'm impressed with what he is doing. SmileWavy

I saw it for the fist time in 2008 at the Charlotte PCA Parade.

Okay Keith... where are we at with this thing!? Don't make me come down there and talk your ear off. :)

What lights are those? Look like the Singer Hella units (which require cutting of the headlight bucket). Any info/links?

These have a 30mm drop at the rear! We also used a shoulder bolt in a socket, so as to get away from the common practice of putting a threaded bolt in shear to mount the seat.

And, just yesterday, I finalized the throttle pedal extension, so as to resemble the one in R7:

So all in all, a bit has happened since the last update. ;)

At some point, it became an art project.

Lol!

We're about to go to the first round of paint. In the interim, I just unboxed these yesterday:

Purchased from the Builder

  1. You have to cut the head light buckets
  2. The oil cooler gets angled with new mount points-welding required
  3. Custom length oil cooler lines fabrication from Elephant Racing required
  4. Custom Cooling fan and thermostat from Elephant
  5. Interesting time intensive wiring required
  6. Compliment with all LED wiring...
  7. Yes they are Hella LEDs and are very high end units

Looks TOTALLY B!T!CH!N :D

and I might have a set for sale at cost

Can't help it, I don't like their look.

rolfjahn 06-07-2017 06:58 AM

Its a car specific personal preference

That's why Porsche makes a fluted lens
You can have it either way and the fluted lens works great.
Unless you like driving blind at night with a low voltage halogen.
Halogen looks period correct but doesn't work at night.
There are lots of HID/LED options out there.

I'm not a period correct person, every car I build is custom to my design.
I prefer to drive them and keep them.
