Ok folks, I haven't even read the articles from Obin yet, but I have posted them here:

Note: PLEASE don't abuse the above files by cross-linking them all over the place. I don't want to get into any copyright issues or other hassles. The files I post in the "side" areas of my site are generally meant for the Pelican and Rennlist communities, not the whole universe! Thanks guys.

campbellcj: if you have a high speed connection I will scan in my July 1985 article on 944 vs 911 in Germany. There are A LOT of graphics, however, and I am afraid that the file size will be substantial...

Go for it...my server is quite large and is sitting on a barely loaded T1. The more content the merrier.

Did anybody notice that the 0-100kph time on that 944 test is listed as 9.44 secs???

no, the case is not tilted, the camera angle was funny. i noticed that it looked tilted when i saw the photo.
