Question Rear Package Shelf Questions:

Did the 911/930 Targa Rear Package Shelf differ from the Coupe version in the years of 84-87? If so, what where the differences?
What year did Porsche add rear shoulder seatbelts?
If anybody has pictures of there rear package shelf, could you post them or point me to a URL for viewing?

Thanks

Cool

Send me those pics too. When I got my car it was missing. Haven't gotten around to replacing it yet (its only more weight to slow you down eh!), but with our local PCA charity concours coming up soon, I guess I should pick up a used one somewhere soon!
Nick.

The coupe, Targa, and Cab all have different rear panels. I am not sure what year Porsche started using rear shoulder seatbelts, but do know that the 964 has rear shoulder belts.

Here is a picture of the rear panels from a 90 C4. I have detailed pictures of the panels (with measurements) as well as the mounting points for the seatbelts. I will try to locate and post a link to the pictures.

Did all of the shelves have the padded seat backs integrated into them? Mine has folding seatbacks which snap to this shelf, so it would seem like the integrated back pads would be redundant. Not sure. I noticed that Automotion sells a clone of this rear shelf unit, but theirs has these integrated pads too. Not sure if this is what is supposed to go on our cars with folding rear seatbacks. Any input is appreciated.
Nick.
