One more thing . . .

Will the same 3.6 fit in a early model VW Bus chassis?

Of course, the stock 4" wheels would have to be retained for that 'sleeper' look . . .

Best,

Kurt

What kind of stratospheric dollars is one talking about for one of these 3.6 high-comp monster motors?

Sounds like way too much engine for me to handle w/ my current feeble driving skill, but it is nice to dream.

g,day from downunder.I have a 2.7 carrera originally US model with e cams and webbers, forged pistons, early exhast running 10.1, 230hp pulls from 1800 rpm.
I have 930 calipers and disks. The are not that easy to fit as they dont have the correct spacing from the wheel arch, however they will fit into 15 inch rims.I eventually found a machinist here in Aust after ringing around the US with no luck.He adapted 993 twin turbo disks to fit.If you want a ph# email me, not that you care but it will be cheap when paying in that we now call pacific peso's.110hp per litre is not that hard with mfi.
cheers

Straightenup, you're going to be grateful you joined this board. We could have pointed you to a handful of places that could machine stock 930 calipers to fit your car.

Can you locate a RHD passenger's armrest for a pre-74 911 (the kind with the hand grip)? I'd throw a lot of Pacific Pesos at one of those.

Hello

Thinking about the Killer Bus i would go for an C4 Drivetrain under it. Some early 356 16" wheels will suit too.

Also i knew cubic inches are important but the most efficient 2 Valve combustion chambers have 450 - 500 ccm per cylinder.

I doubt that the 3,6 will 7800. It can be pressed to that maybe but the even very big valves can´t flow so much air without giving up low end drivabilty. If he uses 4V heads it would be possible. So where is the tourqe curve dumpeling under 4000/min ?

This is a good track engine but the americans seem only to focus on those little sprints. With that engine you need very much skill to start at the right powerdemand. To less will stall, to much will spin tires or clutch. You guys seem to be focused on power alone. Drivebility is in street use more important then total power. Total Power is for the race track and hard work too.

2,7 230 HP in a old RS had been enough to perform equal to a 427 AC Cobra. And i think even a 289 Competition can´t run much better.

Best choice is simple get an RUF CTR. Nobody can compose that car better, it is more then the Big HP as everything matches up.

See big Power is like using an Pentium with 133 mhz FSB in a 486 DX 33 FSB Board.

YMHO

I´m grown up and can live with 90 HP in a 1000 kg car.
