Idle Speed Adjuster Question
Is my idle speed adjuster from a different model? It seems to work OK, just curious.
 Shouldn't it look like this one without the dogleg in the hose.

Is the Idle Control Valve a Bosch? If so it may have been painted by PO.
Mine looks like the 2nd pic. According to our Host, for an '86 it should be the 2nd pic part# 930-606-161-00-M14.

Bingo! I wonder where you can get that replaced if it ever goes bad?
Probably need to replace the hoses when you do. Cheap enough unless you order from europe, whoa the exchange rate.

Yes, that is a non factory part; probably from a VW or a BMW or something. Still, if you're not having trouble, I wouldn't worry about it.

Very Interesting. I noticed when I replaced the O2 Sensor that the 2 way connection has a Mercedes 3 point star on it. BMW, VW and MBZ. Probably Audi too are somewhat interchaneable, eh?
