Exhaust Sealant - Wurth?
What is the best sealant to use on the Exhaust Gaskets? I have some Wurth product that Pelican sells and wonder if this works well. Can this also be used on the Intake side of the Heads?

I haven't used sealants for either exhaust or intake, just the factory gaskets.
I am no expert. Doug

You shouldn't need a sealant, in my opinion. And I don't think it will work long term.
You might consider making some gaskets out of copper sheet, if you have some angular contact that might help seal it. |

I have used a high-temp anti-seize lube called Neverseize on BOTH sides of the gaskets.
In fact, I use that on all gaskets like the sump or valve covers. Both sides; it prevents the gaskets from sticking. For the muffler, I smear some muffler cement on both sides of the copper gaskets.

The exhaust should seal fine without any "sealant" required.
Cheers

It will help if the gaskets aren't available but it has to go back together. |
