I'm not a praying man, but I have a wonderful and supportive girlfriend who I love dearly. In fact, I just sped home from her place this morning in my Porsche. My life would fall apart without her, so I do feel your pain... I can only offer my most sincere wishes of luck and strength to all involved in this terrible situation. All of a sudden, I think we all realize how unimportant our hobby/sport is in comparison to what you are now dealing with. We should all appreciate the times when our lives allow us to bathe in the warm sudsy comfort of our passions without serious interruption.

Life is precious, more precious than we routinely take time to appreciate. Your sweet Beverly will beat this challenge with the help of your strength and the support of all your friends, on this board and otherwise.

I am not one to ask God for things without good cause. I can think of no cause more worthy of his attention than this. I will go for a long walk tonight and pray deeply for her quick recovery, and for you and she to live a long, happy, and rewarding life.

As every night just before dinner, I will raise a glass and say quietly "Le Chaim" . . ."To Life".
