Your prayers are needed.

While attending a Driver's Ed course at Mid-Ohio this weekend, disaster has struck. While on her way to meet me at the track on Saturday, my girlfriend and partner Beverly was involved in a serious car accident.

She's broken a lot of bones, and has a head injury. She has not fully regained conciousness since her accident. I hope she will though. She was apparently involved in a t-bone style accident in a high-speed area on one of the roads next to Mid-Ohio. She'd gotten lost on her way to meet me.

I understand this is off-topic for this forum, but there are some people on this forum that I think of as very good friends. And I need a lot of friends right now. This is the woman who backs me up in my endeavours with the Porsche.

If anyone would like to send flowers, she's in the Mansfield, Ohio Med Central Hospital. The people there like to say she's not allowed to have flowers in the intensive care unit, but we're putting them right outside her door where she'll hopefully be able to see them at some point. Her full name is Beverly Hood.

Thanks for your prayers.

Glad you told us about her, Mark! I'm sure there will be one hundred extra prayers for her tonight, and every night, now. I know it must be hard for you, too, so keep up the positive thoughts! And, let us know how Beverly is doing from time to time!

God almighty, Mark, I am sorry to hear that. I'm speechless.
Please keep us posted. I wish her and you all the best.
I might insert that 10 years ago, my uncle and professional motorcycle racer (when he was a young lad) was in a serious accident; freeway, hit center divider, thrown into oncoming traffic landing on his head.
He is alive and well now, but it's always tough at first. Likewise, my only cousin (his son) hit a crypt doing around 110 MPH on his bike, out for a couple of weeks.
He too is alive and well.
I think I'm rambling here a bit...Good luck man.

Mark,

We will all be praying for you and especially for Beverly. We have all lost a loved one, and when I read your story, my heart hit the bottom of my stomach. Please do keep us posted...and if you need someone to talk to at night, there are plenty of us that would be willing to do just that...me included.

Omnipotent and eternal God, the everlasting Salvation of those who believe, hear us on behalf of Thy sick servant, Beverly, for whom we beg the aid of Thy pitying mercy, that, with her bodily health restored, she may give thanks to Thee in Thy church. Through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

I am so sorry to hear that. I hope and pray that she will have a speedy and healthy recovery. From the way you speak of her,the love in your heart should be enough alone to make her better. But a Prayer never hurts.
I wish you and her my best and godspeed.
Love, Ken

Mark,
I was expecting to sit in front of the screen for my nightly dose of things Porsche, but instead was shocked to hear of your partners accident. Even though many of us that post here do not really know each other in a face to face sense, we are still a community and as such we share your grief. I hope our prayers and best wishes will get both of you through this tragedy.

Mark,

You and Beverly will both be in my prayers. I went through a major illness four years ago, and one thing I learned from the experience is to never give up, never lose faith. I didn't think I'd ever be whole again, but it is amazing what we can accomplish through prayer and hard work. My thoughts and prayers will be with you.
