What a bunch of turds these Capital One guys are. I spent a bunch of time on this, and checked the website *beforehand* for eligibility. Now they send me this crap:

Quote:
The Capital One® Image CardSM you requested is unavailable

You recently applied for a Capital One Image Card. Unfortunately, we're unable to provide you with an Image Card because your account is one of the following types:

• Canadian card
• Debit card
• Co-Branded card

If you have any questions, please contact Capital One Customer Relations at 1-800-955-7070.

Thank you for being a Capital One customer.
Way to turn a customer loyalty, cool feature into a disgruntled customer who is ready to cancel the two cards right now!

Wayne,
Have you considered offering your customers a Pelican Credit Card? A Visa which you could earn points from every purchase and double points when you use the card on a Pelican purchase. I am sure you have explored this.....just curious.

Wow, even Wayne gets pwnd sometimes. Next time I won't feel so bad when my measly 4 figure card isn't as important to Citi as I think it should be.

This is one of the things that has been on my "list" for quite some time. Never quite makes it to the top of the list though...

Well, I thought it was awesome until I saw that. . .

Sheesh.

Thanks for the CC # anyway.

PS, can you give me the 3 digit no. off the back?

I know, it's not real

I'm surprised that the email didn't say something about the Porsche thing. You know how they are....

Wayne,

Just call your business banker on the credit card idea. If they are any good at all, they can get it all set up for you. I imagine the extra revenue you could earn from incremental sales off points from card usage elsewhere would make it all worthwhile.

I wouldn't take a Capitol One card if it had wheels and drove. What a crappy company to deal with.

On my list. The other things above this on the list are far more important. Examples include the Pelican Wiki, expansion of our catalog, finishing the Boxster book, and the implementation of our returns/backorder tracking system. Credit card seems to fall to the bottom of that list...

I don't understand how they can have the audacity to reject your request for a image card in the same sentence that they tell you "thank you for being a capital one customer" that kind of canned condescending bullcrap just pisses me right the hell off! screw them and their stupid tag line... "what's in your wallet?" Duh, not a capitol one card, Arseholes!

if you want to have your eyes opened regarding the credit card industry try renting "Maxed Out" a documentary on the current credit card industry and how and where they make thier money. Maybe not a lot of info. that you don't already guess but there are some things brought out, e.g. why the credit history industry doesn't make it easy to fix incorrect entries. 90% of people have errors in thier credit history.

Anybody who still thinks ANY of the credit card companies are on their side or are offering you benefits, features or even rates to serve "your" interest is living in a fantasy world. Charges are made to your card instantly when you spend, but merchants have 30 days or more to tender credits. The feds disallowed credit card debt from bankruptcy filings (the debt most young people are lead into via temptingly easy offers). Identity theft rages in America while credit card companies offer signature free cards and deny any real protection from fraud!
Cards are time saving, easy to use and readily accepted almost everywhere but have not been a positive factor in our economy on any level. We`all use them but they are certainly NOT our friends!
