Tire Choices 16 X 9 Fuchs Help

I am getting ready to bring my 88 911 out of winter hibernation. It has 16 X 7's & 9's on it. It is in need of new tires before it sees the road this spring. Last fall I decided on Bridgestone RE750's 245/45 x 16 for the back and 225/50 x16 on the front. This spring though is a different story. I checked with Tirerack and Discount Tire Direct and no luck.

The car is used mostly for a summer commuter / daily driver and I have a track car to 'exercise' so I am not looking for a super sticky tire.

Please let me know you thoughts on replacement treads or any leads on some RE750's.

The choices in 245/45 - 16's seems to be limited.

Thanks,
Eric

Check out Hankooks. I'm on my second set. Cheap and they grip! No road noise either.

Check out Fuzion ZRi.

I have them in 205/55 and 245/45 and they are a great tire, especially for the price.

+2 on the Hankook RS2's!
Another for consideration, is the Falken 452.
Both are very competitively priced at www.edgeracing.com

Higher tread wear numbers, but how long does it take you to go through a set of tires on your car?

$20/each cheaper than the Yokos (on TireRack), but also 2lbs/each heaver and less performance. Doesn't sound like that much of a bargain, pay less, get less.

Thank you all for you comments and direction. I have read some interesting informaiotn on the Fuzion's and Hankooks. I am leaning towards the Fuzion's.

Anybody have 225/50 x 16's Fuzion's on the front? I currently have 225 BFG KDW's in the front and they occasionally rub. I had BFG Comp T/A's on before in 225's with no problem. The difference being KDW's have the rim protector and the T/A's did not. The Fuzions have the rim protector so i might be inclined to go to a 205/55 x16 like Wayne.

Wayne - Nice picture.

+1 on the Fuzions! These things grip a lot better than the Kumhos and Yokos!
