Simple Instrument Bulb Question - How many?
Good God there is too much info out there on instrument lighting!
Simple question: My clock bulb is out. Will replace with OEM 2W bulb from our host and thought I'd go ahead and replace them all. How many do I need to do all the gauges in a 1987? Thanks!

My quick check of the diagrams shows this:
Tach-2 Speedo-2 Clock-1 Fuel gauge-1 oil gauge-1 This is for the 73 gauge set for illumination (back lighting), but I think the 87 uses the same set up. Hopefully, others with first hand experience of later gauges will add info. but this should get you started.

I just bought a dozen. They're cheap, you can replace all at the same time for even lighting, and have a spare or two....

Thers also the bulbs for the ventilation control, ashtray, fog light switch, heating control between the seats , glove box and while you're at it replace the interior bulbs as well. Might as well do the lot plus it'll give you a chance to clean the contacts
