Hey there Bob,
I think Weidman can make them and have the end result appear similar to factory 9&11x15 wheels. Lindsey and Trudesign can also make them but I'm pretty sure the wheels would have BBS-style barrels. Using this style of barrel would make the wheels appear different than factory wheels. Stratton can also make them. I haven't spoke with any of these wheel vendors about the specifics of 15" wheels so I'm not 100% sure my info is accurate. If you end up talking with these vendors please let us know what you find out. Good luck! Oh yeah - lets see some pics of the car these wheels would be mounted on! |

If you cut and weld rims to a wider width, will PCA still allow you to do a DE, lapping day, or autocross on them?
They state in their track day inspection form "no welded repaired rims". Anyone have insite on whether this also covers widened? I've got a set of professional welded widened rims and my tech inspector noted it on the form, but I haven't submitted it to PCA for a track day with them yet. Yea or Nay on welded widened rims for PCA track days?

None of the regions around here specify no welded rims on their tech forms, and I've seen PCA club racers running them as well.
I think PCA sets some broad guidelines then lets the individual regions make their own specific rules. I suppose you *could* get some hard on running the DE program looking for welded rims and not letting them run, but I bet that guy wouldn't last long. ![]()
