Back again - 14pin connector broken, need help
Hello everybody
![]() I've been absent from this forum for some years due to job and private changes, but my car is still improving. Its a silver '76 911 with a 2.7 engine and a '73 body conversion I own and drive now for 10 years here in good old (cold) Germany. Pictures to come. So I am glad to be back, soaking up more knowledge but open to provide you tricks and potential solutions on all the parts I have been refurbished meanwhile (about 80% ![]() I just finished a 3.0 SC engine rebuilt and swapped it in last week. Runs fine despite some minor problems on fuel accumulator and electrics: I broke the 14 pin connector while inserting a new pin for the tach signal (the male part on the regulator panel). Purchased a new one-same happened again (it's ~50 $ !). 2nd try, I carefully relocated the pins and wires, checked everything - and found out that the replacement part (ori Porsche) is different! The back is thinner, so that there is not enough room for all the 14 cables, obviously. Am I stupid or doing something wrong? I searched the forum but have not found a thread dealing on the connector itself ![]() Thanks for any hints, jw |

I know that the connector appears in the 944 section - dunno if there are different ones...
