Does anyone know how to remove the "Targa" emblem on the rollbar? There are fasteners holding them on, but how do you get to the fasteners on the insider of the rollbar?
Thanks, michael |

Hi Michael,
I think you need to remove the targa bar headliner. I did that once since mine wasn't staying up. (it stays up now!) It's pretty simple but you have to take off the seatbelts and some trim pieces on either side. The headliner is held up by brackets that point forward, I think, so you get it off with a forward motion. It's a little tricky getting it back on since there are a lot of those brackets. Good luck! You have to remove the targa bar cover. It is attached by 2 nuts up under the wheel well. Kind of a PITA to reach, but really not that bad. You should also loosen up the speed-nuts on the lower trim strip at the base of the targa bar, to help avoid damaging the soft alloy trim.
The targa script logos are then attached to the inside of the hoop by little speednut things. Oh, and in case you hadn't found this out yet, the targa logos cost around $50 each! |

Hey, just wanted to let you know that those logos are one of the things you actually CAN get cheap from Porsche. I paid $30 for one at an aftermarket place and $9 for the other at the dealer.

The expensive ones I was referring to are the early "gold" colored ones (my car is a 70). Glad to hear the prices on the later black ones aren't as crazy.
