Wayne, THANKS for the site/community you created!
OK, I admit it. Occasionally, I lurk over on Rennlist if this site is down for maintenance or I just need a fix for some new posts, but I always walk away disappointed with it's lack of content, low volume and perponderance of newbie posts and basic questions. I just counted a total only 29 posts (less than 1 pg) so far today on the air cooled 911 forum most of which are replies to old threads. I'm about done!
I come here to learn, create relationships with friends on the BBS with common interests yet very different walks of life, buy parts at great prices and generally escape from the mundane elements of everyday life for something (not the only thing) that I am truly passionate about with others who feel the same. I cannot count the number of times I have been elbow deep in grease, at an impasse, and have posted an urgent request for help and the community has never let me down. You can generally count on a helpful response within "minutes". At these moments, the thought of posting a request for help there has never even crossed my mind! Wayne, a heartfelt thanks to you for what you have created and to the Pelican community at large for who you are and what you do every day for your fellow Pelicans! ![]()

Without this board my car would be a sorry a$$ shadow of itself. I can't count how many times I've gone straight from the garage to the computer...usually multiple times per issue as I'm not the sharpest crayon in the box. I clean my keyboard with Simple Green.

DITTOS TO ALL OF THE ABOVE... I know owning my car here in the sticks would have been a lot more frustrating and expensive if not for Wayne and Pelican Parts. I've met some wonderful people and have a lot of new friends. Pelican has made owning a Porsche a much larger experience than just owning the car...
Good thread, thanks for starting it...

I think I may of spent enough in pelican parts for them to get a new server or two. Great form and community. Why would I buy from somewhere else that does not have this support. What's a few bones to keep the servers & community rolling? (Especially when it is my daily first hit to see what is new "in Pelican Land").
Cheers. MM |

Wayne's efforts are the best. So are the Pelican Heads here. My first choice for parts are Pelican, none better!

Thanks guys. Tonight I'm working on the PelicanWiki, just to make things better! Wait until you see the first version of the finished product, it will be very good...

I purchased 101 Projects before I even owned a 911. The book is what lead me to this web site. I visit nearly daily. With out Pelican parts, and helpful staff I would be at a loss. As far as the forums, they are second to none. I have developed friendships with a few here. I am always amazed by the quick knowledgeable help I get from other members. For me this site has become part of the fun of owning a 911. For the most part the community here is a group of great guys. Thanks for bringing them all together.

++1 This site has tons of knowledge and the advice of the Pelicans has helped me many many times.
Thanks Wayne for providing us all a place to share our love of the P-car

This is the first place I hit up when I get a free minute to see what's new, who's project is near completion, who's getting started and who's about to give up...this community is by far the most helpful and selfless grouping of people I've ever met.
And Wayne, on my part, if your forum wasn't here I would have never started to buy parts from Pelican, I'd seen an ad or two, but never gave it thought...this place is just perfect! Get an idea and go shopping at the same time! I'll come back here everytime due to the support and friends made here. To Pelican... ![]()

The confidence I take away from this board to work on my own P-car is simply immesurable. The SEARCH function is like having a special wrench in the tool chest to diagnose/fix about any problem. Thanks to Wayne and all the folks out there who contribute to the cause!

Seems like a new "thank you Wayne" thread comes up every couple of weeks or so. Maybe there should be a sticky thread for those who have positive experiences with Pelican.
