Turn Signal Indicators

Hi all,

I am in the process of fixing some wiring gremlins and am in need of some info.

The indicators on my 85 930 work fine but the hazard flasher doesn't light up the green lights on the tacho (the red flashing light works on the button and also the actual indicators but not the green lights). Is this normal?

Also if I press the brake pedal or turn on various switches both green lights flash once quickly. Could this be an earthing problem?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Can someone plz tell me if their green indicator lights are lit when the hazard flasher is activated??

Also I am installing an alarm and would like to know where the best place to wire in the indicator flasher from the alarm to flash the lights on arm/disarm.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, green lights should flash with the flasher activated. Your other symptoms sound like ground (earth) problems. Sorry, can't help on the alarm wiring.

Question: do the green lights operate correctly when you use the turn signals? Do both light (blink) at once or does only the correct side light?

Thanks ossiblue.

Turn signals work fine - left is left and right is right but no green lights when the hazard flasher is activated (orange turn signals work just not the green lights on the tacho).

I am thinking that it is an earth problem or maybe the flasher relay? I may have to replace the relay and see if it still does it.

Did replacing the flasher resolve this?
