Perfect.

That mileage counter thing got me confused...now I realize that it is a seperate unit and since I don't have one, I don't need a wire there.

Following this b/c my dad's 79 odometer is not working either. Every other gage works perfectly.

He took his out and hand it bench tested and calibrated - so the odometer DOES work. Just not in his car.
