carrera throttle linkage issue
I am trying to use a Carrera Intake on my SC. I have run into a problem with the linkage.
The intake manifold and throttle body are both from a source that is different from the throttle linkage plate. It could be a mismatch of year groups, but I can't determine this from the PET illustrations. I have swapped out the linkage/bell crank plate on the engine case with a Carrera version, however the linkage that came with the TB seems to have the socket for the ball joint on the wrong side of the push-pull rod. I would appreciate some guidance on this one. Thanks, Jim S. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Jim -
I think you can make this work. Just take the piece on the right of the throttle linkage plate (the one with the ball pointing to the right) - and flip it so the ball is facing the other way. If however, that's the side that's solidly secured to the shaft - you'll have to cut and weld the linkage piece 180-degrees. Good luck! Glenn

I ran into the same problem on my car. FortunatelyI had this one that I suspect is a carrea piece in my drawer.

In the first picture the lever to the right is backwards, the ball needs to be inside and the levers near parallel.
