3.6 conversion install troubles
I am in the middle of installing a 964 3.6 into my 77 and I am having 2 issues:
1. got fuel, got power, no spark. everything seems to be wired up correctly but no spark. 2. see the attache picture any idea where the black hose goes that i am holding in the picture? it does not seem to have anywhere to go. ![]() any ideas would be appreciated!! I am excited to hear this engine come to life.

There is also the chance that the 2 sensors plugged in at the bracket on the foreward drivers side are interchanged. One is to the cyl head temp sensor and I think the other is the crank position sensor. I know they can be reversed because I did it when installing my 3.6 several years ago It then won,t start.

I think the hose is for the power brake booster. I don,t think a 77 has boosted brakes. Cap it better than with tape or the resultant vac. leak will also make it hard to start.

thanks guys, the hose is not the power brake booster. that is already hooked up and yes the 77 has power brakes. this hose comes of of the center of the intake under the throttle. any other ideas? for now i am going to plug it and see what happens.
as for the wiring, i know i have good ground but i am going to trace back all the wiring this weekend and see if anything else is incorrect. i hope to get this the engine fired up!!!
