Question about RSA steering rack

I just bought a RSA steering rack to convert my 1991 911 turbo to manual steering. When I bought the rack I noticed it had an open port that was threaded on the passenger side. I was not sure what went there? I was told it was an internal stop to keep it from walking off the gear. I looked up the PN on the pet. Nobody in the country seems to have the 1.50 part. It says it is a plug on there. I went to the hardware store, and bought a short plug that would not interfere with anything inside the rack. Since it was called an internal stop I was worried that it was supposed to hang down in the port so far. Any help would be great co I can stop worrying about a stupid issue like this
