Rear brakes binding in reverse ?
Odd thing, wanted to check with you guys... I got new track pads on my SC and the track day turned out shorter than expected (clutch issues) so I did not wear out the pads very much at all...
I noticed that the car will stop within a foot or so if I reverse slowly and let it coast. It won't do that forward, it coasts normally... I asked my mechanic about it and he said it had to do with the rear pads not being bedded properly yet... Can someone explain (or disprove) this to me ? I don;t get why it would do it in reverse and not forward... |

I'd be checking the parking brake. Drum brakes are more prone to that type of problem than the disc brake.

I forgot to say, that was my first thought as well... But the handbrake is fine, no issues according to him, just rear brake pads "too new".... Is it even possible ? why in reverse only ?
