Knowing that 911 heat exchangers need airflow through them during track conditions or overheating occurs due to thermal heat build up. Would a possible solution be to remove the heat exchanger shell from around the exhaust pipes? Would the thermal conditions underneath the motor during track conditions be effectively the same as having a header?
Its amazing how this condition only occurs @ the track (SOW) or the AX course. Please let me know if I'm nuts or am I forced to do a heater backdate.

if you don't need the heat like l do, than it won't hurt anything to do that. you can fab some block off plates (saw a post on here two days ago) and rip that crap off!
