Finalising bits of wiring...

Working lights and flashing indicators...

Warning lights etc all in order ! Original idea of using toggle switches has been ditched in favour of using rebuilt original stalks and switches, looks so much better and cleaner...

Lunchtime tinkering...

So where does this go ?

Its a Spring hatch mechanism, re-used to hold the Decklid open...

Hands-up, I cannot take the glory for this solution. I shamelessly stole the idea from Mike (ibmiked) on Early S Registry. Mike had made a video of his installation which shows the function perfectly, simple effective Engineering at its very best:

Wiper works.....Ignore the Cardboard blade. I didn't want the metal arm flying off during the first try, sweep and coverage looks good though.

Oil tank ( repaired! ) turned out to still have afew leaks, so I bit the bullet and got a brand new one...

Surface bulge toward the bottom is not 100% as original, but it is very minor and I am very happy with it...

Correct Bayonet Cap fitting...

I am also fitting this hidden under the dash. It will connect up to the original demist vents. Hopefully it will arrive this week, along with the hose and fittings:

Last little bits coming together now...I hope !

Couldn't resist some pictures in the afternoon sun, which also gave the opportunity to clean the garage floor from Oil and Brake fluid.....then I am in the Lap of Gods (and the TÜV).

Heated windscreen fitted, and wired up.......still can't feel thumbs !

and a small tweak was to add retaining tabs on the Headlight rims. I didn't want to fit them, but I just couldn't get the rim to fit well onto the Fibreglass lip.....but now they are fitted, I quite like the detail

Cheers
