I'm sitting here eating my bowl of salad like a bowl of popcorn at the movies....cool project you've got going there.

Nice project. You are a very ambitious man - I admire that about you guys(cnielsen and speedo too) and the fact that you take the time to share with the rest of us. I like the valve stem orange detail, nice. I have been thinking of doing something similiar on my lightweight. Thanks for the inspiration. Love the touring look too with the wheel on the roof.

You're a true old-world craftsman. Keep it coming!

Makes me want to find an old Porsche to use as an excuse to learn how to weld :)

Chris..very interested in the prep of your flat six. Interested in the removal of the 912 motor mounts and installation of the 911 motor mounts. Are you installing new MM's or cut-outs ? Great job so far ;)

jury 01-19-2009 11:21 PM

I still have the 912 motor mounts in place...basically I am still undecided on the motor spec, came close to picking up a 911T motor that had potential to build on but currently thinking about keeping it a 4 banger for something different....maybe even a Jake Raby Type 4???

Check out Speedo's build, he shows removing the 912 MM's and installing the 911 MM's

Hey that is an incredible job you did on that car! I am impressed. I would like PM you about how you constructed the RSR single windshield wiper. Keep up the amazing work.

Amazing work Chris! Keep up the good work...

I'll second the request for the single wiper arm write up

gsjohnson 02-21-2009 07:42 AM

Very Nice! I vote that you keep the 4 banger. You will be very happy with the overall balance of the car and you won't be like everyone else...which you have evidenced...that you are not.

VinceQN 02-21-2009 09:00 AM

I knew that the fibreglass needed abit of tweaking to fit but to be blunt its been a right pain in the rear!

Starting at the back I bolted the rear bumper up to the underside of the light housing and fabricated some new brackets The rear brackets aren't the prettiest or the cleanest fibreglass work, but the end result is hidden and solid which is the most important bit...
