I am in progress of mating my engine and transmission. I was wondering what the tourque specs are for the 9 M6X42 aleen bolts, which hold the pressure plate to the fly wheel

Hi Fritz, how's things?Talked to you at Crown Isle(black 1986 930)Torque you are looking for is 10 ft lbs.Considering what you are installing, I would put a little blue loctite on the bolts so you can sleep at nights.
Regards Al

Torque specs.

Pressure plate bolts should be 8mm , not the 6mm stated above, and you should torque to 18 ft. lbs. I have never seen one come loose, so forget the loctite.

Torque on an 8mm allen head bolt should be about 18 ft lbs, using a dab of removable loctite adds a bit of insurance.
