16x9 fuchs

I have located a set of 16x8 and 16x9 fuchs but they have the polished lips. I want the 8's so I was thinking of getting them refinished back to factory look(black center, anodized outer).

My question is if anyone was looking for some 16x9's with polished rings and lips with black background? They looked near perfect when I saw them but would confirm before I buy them. What would they be worth?

Thanks

Jeff

There is a person on this board that sells them brand new from the factory in the box for $1600 a pair. Sometimes, you will see folks listing these for nearly the same price, but over 25 years old with god knows what kind of abuse... Buyer beware buying used, as you will definitely want to inspect for cracks on the petals...

Thanks for the advice. How visible would cracks be?

Do you ever see new 8's for sale?

I would think I should be able to get $800 for a pair of nice used 9's though, it would help pay for the refinishing of the 8's.

Make sure the 8's are 911 offset 8's if you plan on putting them on the rear - sometimes 8x16 and 9x16's are matched and the 9x8's end up being 951 8's that will fit on the front of 911's.

As far as the 16 x 9's I just sold a set for 1400 - they were used - but very good shape and refinished by Al Reed.
