Unhappy Testing a Motronics DME?

I am about at the end of my tether with this car!.
Will try a new throttle switch and if this does not work anticipate a new DME or maybe someone test mine?.
Who can do this?. Porsche main Dealer? Bosch specialist?

This problem 86ragtop has, is almost definately a time/temerature related thing.
'If' I suspect overheating (temp. gauge is only riseing to normal before problems)
Can I use an 'infrared thermal heat gun' to spot check the engine temp. and if so, where should I use it? and what temp. should I get?
Thanks guys
Ben

Thumbs up

Yes - Take it to a Bosch specialist, preferably with 911 experience.

They ought to be able to connect a laptop with diagnostic software via an interface to the DME. I gather that connecting up is not that simple as these DME's were not designed with this in mind. However once he's hooked up and you are able to reproduce the problem the diagnostics should register fault codes that will allow him to trace the problems via the connector pins of the DME.

Find Certified / Approved Bosch service specialists in your area ask if they have worked on 3.2 911's with our DME types.

Best of luck

Cheers
