How anal have you been during reconditioning/re-spray/while in there ?

Where do/did you stop and draw the line ? I find myself looking at parts which are more or less okay and then decide to just order a new one. I'm spending a lot of time on redoing/painting parts that will never see daylight again.
The impact absorbers are the latest object of my compulsive disorder. I want them to look new with shiny paint and new bolts.
Please share your story and assure me that I'm not the only one out there.

I don't have the funds to do allot of reordering with parts so I spend more time cleaning and painting. It's a hobby right?

Draw the line? Anal?? Compulsive disorder??? You have definitely landed on the right website.

Buy a copy of the "Gold Plated Porsche" before it is to late.

Just be careful, you don't want to end up where your car is so pristine that you are afraid to drive it.....unless you are one of those people, not that there is anything wrong with that.

That's how I like to call it but we all know it's a disease.

I'm still in the closet with this, my 2 previous 911's were no garage queens but I have feeling it might be different this time.

Seeing that other people are affected makes you feel a lot better, doesn't it.

Very entertaining read, this thread.......and there is something a person can take for that "retentive" condition............the "disease" is a whole 'nutha ballgame, I fear.

I always thought it was all the "civilians" that were "sick." They're the ones driving Ford Explorers. Probably never powdered coated a lower A-arm in their lives, let alone agonized over what shade of black to use.
