Engine swap help?

Would a 914/6 core type 901/38 be suitable to replace my bad 1968 911 2.0 core? I would be using my original webbers, exhaust etc.

Should work just fine. 914-6s used the later version of the 2.0T motors. You will also have to use the '68s sheet metal and front engine mount cross piece. Prolly some other stuff too. Hang on to the 914-6 sheet metal if motor comes with it. It's getting to be NLA.

Did a reverse swap some years ago. 2.2E motor into a 914-6. Motor had been swaped previously into a '68 with Sport-o.
