Which spark plug for '68 911?
The car is new to me and from what I can tell it is a stock engine setup (2.0 130hp US version).
The car has crappy/cheap plugs in it currently. What plugs would be recommended? I see that the W3DPO is the recommended plug per Porsche but wanted to see if there are other's I should consider. The car is just for street driving. Thanks, Dan

Go with what is recommended if they still make the plug. Don't go with anything fancy like split fires or quad tips and certainly not Platinum.
If the plug is discontinued, there will be a superceeded recommendation.

There in lies the rub. The recommended plug is a platinum complete with the platinum price. I'm happy to pay 7x more for a plug but I'm not sure this is really the right plug to go with.

Most people recommend NGK copper electrode plugs for early cars. If the factory specs the Platinum Bosch, I am sure they will be fine. The copper are cheaper.
You can decide. I would go copper in Bosch or NGK.

i had a US 2.0 '67 911, i ran w5dcs in it,
i went for "nothing special" w5dcs, as that original early car tended to soot it's plugs quite frequently i run w5dcs in my 69 also.

+1 on the 5s. Even my wrench recommended staying with a hotter plug...unless you constantly track the car...

So do you mean the WR5DC? I can't find a W5DC on Pelican for sale.
