trailing arm removal
looking to remove the trailing arm to install monoballs and in looking into the bently it shows pushing the axle out and such. what i am wondering is if i can remove the brake caliper & rotor, spring plate, & cv, removing the training arm with the hub still in place to remove old rubber and install the the monoballs? is my thinking sound here or am i missing something? i would keep the hub in place as i worked on the trailing arm off the car on the bench.
thoughts?

You can. That's what I did. It's a bit cumbersome w/ the hub, but it is possible. Also removing the hub probably requires new wheel bearings.

Just disconnect the shock, CV joint, spring plate, sway bar and flex brake line and drop the whole assembly at once. The monoball will not be related to any of the braking or hub peripherals.
Just realize it might be heavy to reinstall.
