Exciting New Pelican Feature - Need Feedback - Part III
Okay, our exciting new feature is finally done. Our More Info pages. Modeled after the material data sheets that you find with aerospace parts, we've compiled all of our product information for each and every product we sell into one, single spot so that you can view and print it.
There are too many features to list, here's the URL to a sample page on 911 lug nuts: http://www.pelicanparts.com/cgi-bin/smart/more_info.cgi?pn=999-182-003-36-M260&catalog_description=OEM%20Alloy%20Lug%20Nut%2C%20B lack%2C%20each Here's another one: http://www.pelicanparts.com/cgi-bin/smart/more_info.cgi?pn=928-110-253-06-M67 I think this is what a lot of you have been asking for, as we try our best to give our customers what they need. Thanks, Wayne

Nice work Wayne! Almost looks like something from the Federal Suply System we deal with with the government contracts.
Very nice!

Very cool, I'm able to open. One question. The lug nuts for example... The last listing for use is up to 83' SC. I'm sure they fit the 84' and up Carreras but it doesn't say. Great addition though!

This feature has been very helpful recently directing me to the correct part in my quest to turbo my motor the early oil supply adapter being NLA it directed me with the help of the pet to how the later cars do it.

Stop it. You're making this too easy for us. Stop it. You are a marketer. You are a superb marketer. Soon there will be a new BBS, 12 Step Program for Pelicanites that fall down the slippery slope and into the hands of Wayne. All kidding aside, this is a great feature and should help stimulate incremental sales. Bravo. Perfect web associated suggestive selling technique. Thanks again for making 911 ownership easier ...

I like it... now people just need to write reviews for the parts.

I saw the new features yesterday, very nice. I do feel a bit silly though writing reviews for my last purchase. Oil filter, valve cover gaskets and feeler gauge

Very nice, I like the details you get by clicking the tabs.
Especially the related items. Now we won't have to manually navigate back and forth.

I sure like it, but I guess I've never seen an MDS. I've seen plenty of material data SAFETY sheets, but I guess that's only a similar name.
Maybe some of us need a safety sheet to go along with our parts. ![]() |

Maybe it doesn't matter as you wouldn't be landed on a page to begin with like this example, but I find it frustrating that I can't get to the non-black nuts as that is what I would want.
Just my finding. Overall, one of the coolest features yet. The site makes it wayyyyy to easy to spend money! Thanks Wayne.

Wayne - you are so far ahead of most parts catalog places, it is amazing
Feedback - can you incorporate a way for the most commonly "used" links to be promoted to the top on the longer lists in each tab? But used I mean the ones that people want to see. A proxy for that would be the ones they looked at, or the ones that people looked at when they actually clicked thru and bought the part (not just looked at and 'rejected' by not buying). Like crowdsourcing.... If that makes any sense... |
