Are there substitutes for characters like ampersands and periods? Terms like B&B and 3.2 still don't work for me.

I sometimes use the google method (type in "B&B site:forums.pelicanparts.com") but you can't specify sub-forums this way.

This, and any other search tips and tricks would be much appreciated. The only search modifiers I know are +'s and quotation marks.

these have been used for several decades, long before the internet and way way before the .

try appending those and see if the search results change from not using them -- if not, then answer = No; if so then likely = Yes.

it is much harder to program for their usage in a database system...
