And yet another SC wiring thread - Flashers
I've been spending the a lot of time trying to get this one fixed.
My flashers work for the outside of the car, but the indicators don't work inside the car. Directionals do work fine. I've replaced over the last year -Turn signal switch -Relay -I even replaced the flasher switch itelf. Anyone ever run into this one before? Also, does anyone know the wiring on the back of the tacometer? The bentley book doesn't get into a lot of detail ( at least not that I could find ) in the wiring diags for the back of the tacometer. There's about 7 or 8 connections at the bottom of the tac. The car is a 79SC... Thanks -Dan

Just to clarify, when you say, "Directionals do work fine" do you mean the indicators on your tach for the directionals work correctly or the directionals on the corners of the car work as they should but the indicators still do not?

Directionals work normally including the indicators.
The hazards work correctly with the exception of the indicators, that do not blink when the hazard switch is activated.

Don't know if this will make you feel better but on my 73.5, the indicators work correctly with the turn signals but they do not flash when the hazard switch is activated either. I thought that wasn't right, as do you, but I don't worry about it as the outside hazard system functions as it should.

Yeah but then end up driving down the road for miles not knowing that your 4-ways are on like me. DOH! I have the same issue as the OP but I had messed with my tach and then they stopped working. I just never got around to fixing them and I really have only used them once. I'd like to hear of a fix as well.

On the back bottom of the tach is a section with about 7 or 8 connections... I think there is about 3 or so in use.. I'd have to pull it out again.
Does anyone know of a diagram of what goes into what connector on the back of the tach? I wonder if that might be related also... I know my wiring has had a lot of "tinkering" done to it before.

I checked my Bentley manual but it is hard to decipher. I found this thread with the search button:
911 ODOMETER Stopped, I replaced it, STILL DOESN'T WORK
