How to compression test again??

Can someone tell/remind me the important steps again on how to do a proper compression test, and on a cold engine??

most say to do it hot, trying to get the hose to screw in takes a lot of time.

here is how i do it.
unplug CD unit
remove all 6 plugs
screw in adpater/hose into plug hole
you can hold the throttle wide open or keep it closed, just be consistant. i did not see enough difference to say to do one way or the other.
crank engine for 6 compression strokes. you will hear it.
watch the gauge, make sure it gets a good pressure increase each stroke. it helps with making sure your hose is not leaking and for a good check along with final reading.
i do 2 or 3 checks per, to make sure consistant readings for each cylinder.

Thanks T77.......I wasnt ssure if we removed all plugs or just the one to be tested...couldnt remember....thks ....damian
