Anyone running different F/R rim diameter?
I just saw a 911 with 15" Fuchs on the front and 16" Fuchs on the rear (6 and 7 I believe)
Unable to get the tire sizes. I have only heard of the 935s with different rim diameters (to get around the rules for more contact area) but it seems we mix and match tire sizes so much it could be done to have acceptable and near equal rolling radii front to back. Of note the original NSX came from the factory with 15" front and 16" rears. (Later just 17" all around) Is anyone doing this and why? Perhaps a taller and thus softer sidewall up front as a way to tune the handling? (Maybe less unsprung weight?) Looks?

I am. I run 16s in front and 17s in the rear. I did it as years ago (when I bought my wheels), the selection of 17 inch tires was not that great and so to maximize the amount of tire I could get, I went with 245/45-16s in the front and 275/40-17s in the rear.
It doesn't look too bad: ![]()

Ayup, 8 X 15 front, 10 X 16 rear. Tire availabilty is the reason. The 16 inch W/Ts are lighter than the 15s. ......
