Theif broke my 993 side "vent" window...could I install a 1970 911 vent window?
Some idiot broke the side "vent" window (the triangular fixed window in front of the window that rolls down) on the driver's side of my 993 and stole my sunglasses. The sunglasses look expensive but were only $20! The guy probably figured someone who drives a Porsche would have expensive sunglasses. Fooled him!
![]() I have a ton of longhood 911 parts and have a perfect non-movable "vent" window from a 1970 911T. The window frames look identical on the two cars as far as I can tell, and I can re-use the 993 seal since I cleaned the broken glass out of it. Is it easy/possible to replace this glass myself? Pretty weird to think of having a 1970 part on my 1996 993, but I need to tint it to match my other windows anyway so I doubt it will be obvious. Thanks for your thoughts, |
